A two-hour tutorial on ingesting open data into Wikidata using OpenRefine for absolute beginners.
NOTE THE TIME REQUESTED!
A two-hour tutorial on ingesting open data into Wikidata using OpenRefine. This is a very powerful tool that's a bit daunting to pick up on one's own, leaving whole communities behind on its adoption.
Based on a successful (and sadly unrecorded) run at Turkic Wikimedia Conference, I thought I would offer it again at Wikimania.
No knowledge of OpenRefine is assumed, but basic familiarity with Wikidata's core concepts (Items, properties, values) is assumed.
