The Universal Code of Conduct Coordinating Committee (U4C) ensures consistent implementation of the UCoC globally. To fulfill its mandate, the U4C collaborates with communities, especially those lacking governance structures. This session will introduce the U4C's goals and processes to African communities, gathering input on its potential impact. In 2024, after the Wikimedia community ratified the UCoC, the U4C was formed to enforce these guidelines and investigate violations. As an elected U4C member representing North Africa and the Middle East, I will explain the U4C's role, authority, and how users can contact or submit complaints to the committee.
