In the digital age, visibility shapes public perceptions. Wikipedia, one of the most visited sites globally, plays a key role in representation, yet a gender gap remains in covering women journalists. This proposal by Women Do News aims to address this disparity, focusing on African women journalists. Objectives include highlighting the current gender gap, showcasing the success of prominent women journalists, developing strategies for their inclusion, and fostering collaboration with the Wiki Indaba community. By increasing their visibility on Wikipedia, Women Do News seeks to bridge the gender gap and ensure women's contributions are recognized and valued.
